Covid 19 update: We are following all CDC and local health department COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of both our guests and our teams.

Compost pick-ups have been temporarily replaced by Contactless Food Scrap Drop Off in Locust Point and Mount Washington once a week.

Locust Point on Sundays from 9:00 am  to 11:00 am at the E. Bailey Recreation Center parking lot (Clayton Ct. off of Light Street)

Our NEW Mount Washington site on Sundays at Northwest Park (2101 W Rogers Ave) parking lot from 12:30 to 2:30PM. We are currently accepting new customers, sign up now!

Our process is safe and easy in 4 steps!

  1. Walk up with compost and check in.
  2. Dump compost in one of the two buckets
  3. Grab new bag & clean bucket
  4. Drive away, ready to compost again

How It Works

STEP 1: You collect food scraps in your bucket.

STEP 2: Every week, our youth employees take your bucket and replace it with a fresh one.

STEP 3: They deliver your food scraps to our community scale composting site at Filbert Street Community Garden.
